What is a “Smoked Delicatessen”

As opposed to most delicatessens that get their meat in and will
either slice it cold or warm it and slice it, we take a totally
different approach to bring you the best sandwich possible.

All of our meats are smoked slow to perfection by our pitmaster.
Hailing from Texas, smoking meats is what we know.

From there, we will slice or carve the meat when you order your
sandwich - making it truly as fresh as it could possibly be.

Who we are

Hammond’s Pastrami & Delicatessen was founded with a simple idea - let’s open a Delicatessen with a focus on quality meats and ingredients, with a style reminiscent of
East Coast Deli’s.

Enter the Hammond’s, with a track record of bringing amazing food to Colorado Springs with their food truck turned restaurant, The Chuckwagon. Already establishing a reputation for incredible food, they looked for their next ventures with a goal of focusing on the food first and foremost.

They’ve teamed up with another local couple to operate the business and marketing side of things. With their background creating and establishing one of the best edible companies in the country, Robhots, it was the perfect match.

Look for quality ingredients, sides & condiments made from scratch, no seed oils ever, and more, across both of the two new restaurants: Hammond’s Pastrami & Smoked Delicatessen, and The Seared Steer Steakhouse.
